A separate recirculating cooling-water unit is required for X-ray operation. Users may supply their own unit or purchase our air-cooled recirculating unit. The Japanese website states that leakage is below the threshold requiring a controlled area outside the equipment under Japan’s Ordinance on Prevention of Ionizing Radiation Hazards. It also states that notification to the relevant Labour Standards Inspection Office, National Personnel Authority or personnel commission is required at least 30 days before installation under the applicable Japanese regulations. These statements concern installation in Japan; requirements for other countries must be confirmed locally.
